Hey, I’m Shaina.

I’m the hairstylist and Reiki practitioner behind Centered.

I’ve spent more than a decade in the beauty and wellness world, but somewhere along the way I realized that my favorite part of this work isn’t just creating beautiful hair.

It’s the connection that happens while I’m doing it.

I love getting to know the person in my chair—what they love, what they’re going through, how they want to feel, and what makes them feel most like themselves. Sometimes that means finding the perfect color. Sometimes it means changing things up completely. And sometimes it means creating a quiet space where someone can simply exhale for a while.

That connection is what eventually inspired me to bring my two worlds together: hair + energy work.

 

A Little About My Background

I’m a licensed cosmetologist and graduate of Golden West College, with additional training in Reiki I & II through the American Reiki Institute, Crystal Masters and Soul Shift through Sage Goddess, and hair extensions through Donna Bella Hair.

And because I’m a complete hair nerd, the learning never really stops. I’m always expanding my education in hair color, hair health, wellness, and the techniques I bring behind the chair.

But credentials are only part of what I bring to your appointment.

I’m also a mom, an animal lover, an adventure seeker, and someone who understands that making time for yourself isn't always easy.

That’s one of the reasons Centered exists.

I wanted to create the kind of space I would want to walk into—private, comfortable, welcoming, a little different, and completely free of judgment.

You don't have to show up polished.
You don't have to make conversation if you don't feel like it.
And you definitely don't have to have everything figured out.

Just come as you are.

We'll figure out the hair together.

And maybe you'll leave feeling a little more centered, too.
